These are some of the Nortel SONET/SDH products we could help you with:
NORTEL OPTICAL LONG HAUL 1600
The Nortel Optical Long Haul 1600 is an open, multiservice optical platform that offers multiservice, high capacity transport solutions that cost-effectively address the bandwidth demands of today’s and tomorrow’s networks on a single fiber pair. Designed to scale to 800 Gbps, the system is able to guarantee uncompromised reliability and performance of mission-critical video, data and voice transport services. Further network cost reductions can be achieved by using the Optical Long Haul 1600 in conjunction with highly reliable DWDM optics in the Nortel Optical Cross Connect DX/HDX/HDXc and Optical Multiservice Edge 6500 products.
- Open connectivity of wavelength services with the Optical Long Haul 1600 Wavelength Translator
- Service transparency and the ability to aggregate multiple independent low-speed channels with the Optical Long Haul 1600 Wavelength Combiner
- Carrier grade reliability with 99.999% availability and bit error rates better than 10(-15)
- Optical layer protection and restoration methods for enhanced network resiliency
- The ability to optically add/drop local traffic without terminating express channels
- Comprehensive optical layer network management capabilities with the Optical Network Manager which include end-to-end provisioning and troubleshooting tools for faster service delivery and improved network fault isolation and recovery
NORTEL OPTICAL METRO 4000 SERIES (OPTERA METRO 4000 MULTISERVICE PLATFORM )
The Optical Metro 4100, 4150 and 4200 Multiservice Next Generation SDH platforms comprise a family of full access STM-4/16 SDH multiplexers. DWDM aggregates can be used to further extend capacity to 10 Gbit/s. Key attributes are small footprint, full access, mixed payload, virtual concatenation, a fully non-blocking 4/3/1 cross-connect and proven deployment with network elements installed globally. In-service upgrade is available across the Optical Metro 4000 family
NORTEL TN-64X
The TN-64X ADM transports up to 64 STM-1 signals. Network applications for this NE are Multiplex Section Shared Protection Ring and Regenerator. The TN-64X is designed to provide high capacity, survivable transmission in the National and Regional networks.
The TN-64X ADM NE supports the following optical tributaries:
- up to four protected STM-16 tributaries
- up to eight protected STM-4 tributaries
- a combination of STM-4 and STM-16 tributaries
NORTEL TN-16X
The TN-16X (STM-16) transports up to 16 STM-1 signals. Network applications for this NE are point-to-point, Add/Drop Chain, Multiplex Section Shared Protection Ring, and Regenerator.
Interface types for the TN-16X include STM-1 and STM-4 optical; 140M, STM-1 and 34M electrical. Matched-node connections provide path switching protection for STM-1 and STM-4 optical interfaces.
NORTEL TN-4XE (Now named Optical Metro 4100)
The TN-4XE network element is Nortel's enhanced STM-4 multiplexer, designed to support high port density. This NE can operate as a terminal, add-drop multiplexer, hub multiplexer, extension shelf or regenerator.
The TN-4XE supports the a wide range of connection types from simple through connections to complex 4 way ring to ring connections.
NORTEL TN-4X
The TN-4X Network Element is an STM-4 multiplexer for use as a ring head in STM-4 local network rings, or as an STM-4 ring node in core network applications. The TN-4X can also be configured as a low capacity cross-connect for use primarily at the local/regional network boundary. The TN-4X supports a wide range of plesiochronous and synchronous interfaces.
NORTEL TN-1X 1
The TN-1X provides 2 Mbit/s to 155 Mbit/s terminal multiplexing, add/drop, ring and cross-connectivity features. Optical and electrical STM-1 tributaries may be employed for the provision of STM-1 spurs to customer sites or for interconnection of clusters of multiplexers. This multiplexer will also support an STM-4 aggregate capability, as well as a range of plesiochronous tributary interfaces.
NORTEL TN-1C
The TN-1C is an add/drop multiplexer (ADM) that multiplexes tributary plesiochronous signals to an STM-1 signal, supporting flexible tributary unit (TU) assignment and selectable interfaces (2 Mbit/s interfaces and in one variant a 34/45 Mbit/s tributary).
