| The Basic search is present on every page of the UsedTelecoms.com website, and allows you to enter any search term, word or phrase. The only additional option that is available to you is to select if you are searching for PBX or Carrier equipment. The Advacned Search allows you to specify more exactly what you are searching for by providing the following options: |

| Search specifically for a Name/Model, a part number and a description or a combination of these options. | |
| Search for PBX or Carrier equipment. | |
| Specify a manufacturer that you are interested in. | |
| Using the Advacned search, you can also specify how your search results are sorted. The results can be sorted alphabetically by Model/Description, Manufacturer or Part number. | |

| How does the UsedTelecoms.com search engine work? | |
| The UsedTelecoms.com search engine indexes and searches every item listed in our database. The index is built using the details given in the Name/Model text, the part number and the details and description of each item. You can search for individual descriptive words, specific equipment names, part numbers or whole phrases. If you know the prefix of a part, but not the whole part number, our search engine should be able to find the part you need - assuming it is listed within our database! Our searches are limited to the UsedTelecoms.com database. | |

| How can I narrow my search? | |
| Using the Advanced Search page will help you to narrow the scope of your search. When using the advanced search you can specify the following search criteria: | |
| Search for all words in your search term or the exact phrase. | |
| Search specifically for a Name/Model, a part number and a description or a combination of these options. | |
| Search for PBX or Carrier equipment. | |
| Specify a manufacturer that you are interested in. | |

| How can I find an exact phrase? | |
| To search for an exact phrase, use the Advanced Search page and select "Exact phrase" from the "Search for" drop-down list. | |

| How do I search for a part number? | |
| To search for a specific part number, enter the whole part number in either the Basic or Advanced Search page and search using the default settings. WHen using the Advanced Search, you can also deselect the "Name/Model" and "Details" checkboxes listed in the "Search in" section. | |

| I only know part of the part number. How can I find it? | |
| If you only know part of the part number, enter it into the Basic or Advanced search. Using wildcards and common terms, the search engine should be able to find the part number for yuou, if it is listed in our database. | |
